So, the laptop at the hospital didn’t work out nearly as well as I’d hoped it would. It’s just too slow. It froze up three times before I put it away and told my husband to take it home with him. I stuck with books and Netflix on my phone and crochet.
I didn’t get to come home until Saturday morning with my last round of IV antibiotics the night before. I kept spiking a fever, so the doctor kept pumping me with more medicine until there were no more fevers and wouldn’t let me go until she was sure. I’m still supposed to watch for a fever while I take the antibiotics they sent me home with but I’m not worried about it.
Speaking of antibiotics, they suck. Seriously. I’m sick to my stomach like I’ve eaten too much candy and so done with it. I’ll keep taking them because I really don’t want to go back to the hospital, but I will use my right to complain about them. I’d rather have actually eaten too much candy.
But!!! I’m home and so so so glad to be. I still have follow-ups and we’re not ruling out the possibility of surgery in my future, but for now I’m home. Thank the Gods.
In other news, it’s National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo). I’m not officially participating, nor am I unofficially participating, but I thought it might be a good month to get some groundwork done on the draft of my witchy fun book while I root for others who are participating. If I lay down the basics in a skeletal first draft, then I can flesh it out in a second draft later. But, I’m not in a hurry to finish it. The point in this book is in its description, after all: Fun.
Until next time!
