The Problem With Blogging is Me

I likely won’t have any more personal Throwback Thursday posts. From now on, they’ll probably be links to good posts from years ago. As for content to fill up my blog now, it will be new.

But, there’s a problem with that and that problem is me.

You see, the last blog I had I stopped writing posts because I got tired of trying to “brand” myself. I got tired of trying to stick to a plan. I’ve always been a more spontaneous person (that’s my ADD right there) and while schedules for my family and home life are useful and important, trying to force content on my blog on scheduled days was more than I had in me. So, I let my blog fall away. It’s gone now. No more linking to it. It is somewhere on the internet, cached in the realm of “wasted space” that makes up so much of the interwebz.

I know, I know. You’re asking how I’m going to keep up with this blog if I hate scheduling and planning and all that. Well, spontaneously of course!

I hadn’t planned this post. This is on a whim. This is what happens when I’m sitting at home, bored, and staring at my computer. I come up with something I want to write about and here it is. Before, I’d come up with something I want to write about and have to think about when I’d post it or if it fit my “brand” and I would lose interest.

So. Spontaneous. That’s my blog now. That’s this here.

Of course, that means there could be weeks where there’s nothing at all. Then again, there could be weeks when I blog every single day. I think the only thing I’m going to do regularly is Throwback Thursday (though not regularly-regularly–like, it won’t be every week, but it will be specific to Thursdays and stick to the theme).

For now, as my last post suggested, I’m going to stick to writing my stories, reading great books, and avoiding social media as much as possible.

I think I’ll nap first though. 😉
